Pool Service Technician Job Description

We are looking for a pool service technician for residential pool installations. Applicants should have residential construction industry experience and access to reliable transportation. We offer a consistent work schedule, and competitive pay. The ideal candidate will have a background in servicing in ground pools and some knowledge of pool equipment repair. Must have ability to work with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security.

Responsibilities

• Cleans, adjusts, and performs minor repairs to swimming pool equipment.
• Removes leaves and other debris from surface of water, using a net.
• Cleans the bottom and sides of pool using such aids as underwater vacuum cleaner, hose, brush, detergent, and acid solution.
• Inspect and replace loose or damaged tile.
• Assist with installation of pools
• Clean and repair filter system.
• Adjust and perform minor repairs to heating and pumping equipment, using mechanic tools.
• Apply chemicals and salt in prescribed amounts, to purify water in the pool.
• Prepare service report of materials used and work performed for all customers.

Skills

• 2 years pool maintenance experience preferred
• Knowledge of Hayward pool equipment to diagnose equipment problems and do repairs
• Basic understanding of construction procedures
• Comfortable working in high-stress environment with extreme weather fluctuations
• Ability to operate a manual transmission vehicle
• High school diploma/GED preferred but not required
• Need a valid drivers license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
